Could There Be a Season Six for Supernatural?

As Warner Brothers officially announces the release date of Season Four on DVD, the Internet is a buzz about the idea of a Season Six for Supernatural.
At last week’s Supernatural convention in the UK, Jared Padalecki was quoted as saying that he and co-star Jensen Ackles both had six year contracts. Where creator Eric Kripke was only signed for five.  This has always been the case, but a half a year ago Jared and Jensen were both leaning heavily on the idea that they’d be leaving when Kripke left — at the end of year five.

Supernatural LA Con: Eric Kripke aka Mr. Stop Sign

Supernatural creator, Eric Kripke took the stage on Saturday night at the Los Angeles Supernatural Convention. It was a rare appearance for the man known as Joss Whedon’s love child, and yet the room was pretty empty. (Most people waiting for Sunday and the arrival of “the boys.”) To the man’s credit, he not only stayed to answer all of the questions the fans had for him, but then he signed autographs for free for everyone in the room and he looked thrilled to do it.

Supernatural is Back!

 
Though the last week has been full of spoiler-ific surprises such as director’s cuts and angst-ridden photos, it’s not the same as having an actual new episode to go wild over! 
Tonight, the boys take on a coven of witches and this ain’t Charmed, baby.  These gals are playing for keeps.  Watch Malleus Maleficarum tonight at 9:00 on The CW.
Now we know that there’s one other huge choice on TV tonight in that same slot and you’ll hear more about THAT show tomorrow when SFUniverse welcomes its newest columnist, Brian Allen.
