Hey, I made you look, didn’t I? Variety says Sony has locked up the rights for a new Flash Gordon live-action film. The first step? Make sure this guy is nowhere near it:

Word has gotten out that SciFi Channel’s attempt at reviving Flash Gordon is no more. The confirmation came not from an official announcement (fans of the Dresden Files will tell you SciFi doesn’t do those) but from an offhanded comment from the channel’s president admitting the revival sucked.
