As a lifetime Green Lantern fan, this is about the best time I’ve ever enjoyed. Geoff Johns is doing the most amazing work on the adventures of a resurrected Hal Jordan ever, there’s a major motion picture in the works and now an animated film is coming to our homes on DVD.
Green Lantern:First Flight is on its way from Warner Home Video and they’ve launched a site for you to get updates.

Green Lantern Greenlit?

With the Batman film franchise completely reinvigorated and Superman, well, we won’t talk about Superman, Green Lantern could be the next DC Comics hero to hit the big screen.
Variety reports the project is moving forward with director Martin Campbell (pictured here) at the helm. Campbell directed Casino Royale and two Zorro films. Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green penned the script for the GL adaptation. Green Lantern is one of DC’s “legacy” heroes. Black History Month is a perfect time to remember the most legendary African-American superheroes and their creators. This list will stimulate debate and that’s part of its intent. You will not agree with all my picks, the order in which they fall, or some notable omissions. I will still do some workups on the numerous honorable mentions that didn’t quite make this list.
