I went into total 80s overload doing my last two movie posts without even realizing what they have in common. There is no way they can remake Flash Gordon or Highlander without Freddie Mercury here. Sorry, Hollywood. You’ll thank me later. I mean, who were you going to put on these soundtracks? Nickelback? Ludacris?

The Highlander franchise is proving harder to kill than its signature character. And don’t think they didn’t try, I mean sequels to the 1986 classic included Mario Van Peebles and the WWE’s Edge. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Summit Entertainment wants to revamp the genre hit that launched Christopher Lambert to well -  never mind. It was a good movie though.
