Craig Horner Talks Season 2 of Legend of the Seeker

The Legend of the Seeker returns tomorrow for the start of a second season, so I sat down with the show’s star, Craig Horner, to talk about the great guest stars, his affinity for sword play and what’s in store for fans of this fantasy / action series.
Let’s not waste any time here, Craig. Tell us what we can look forward to in this new season.
Craig: It’s literally hell on earth because the underworld has been opened now and the Keeper, which is Satan, if you will, is sending forth his minions. One thing we gotta watch out for are …read more

Smallville’s Cassidy Freeman Gives Destiny a Push

It’s been a “TV year” since Cassidy Freeman joined Smallville as Tess Mercer, the new editor of the Daily Planet and foil for Clark Kent. But even after all this time, there are still quite a few mysteries surrounding this tough, no-nonsense lady. We know she has ties to Lex Luther (she’s living in his mansion, for heaven’s sake!) and we know she had a steamy romance with Oliver Queen and she seems to have a handle on Clark Kent. But the big question still remains — is Tess only out to save Tess, or is she secretly one of …read more

Ten Minutes with Supernatural’s Misha Collins

Ten Minutes with Supernatural’s Misha Collins

It’s been nearly a year since we were introduced to Supernatural’s first angel in residence, Castiel. With his unblinking stare and deep, humorless voice, he’s been guiding Dean Winchester down a biblical path that’s leading them all straight into the ultimate maelstrom known as the apocalypse.
But when the director yells cut, Castiel falls away and in his place stands the witty and charming Misha Collins, fitting in on the Supernatural set as if he’d been there since day one.
Listen in as Misha Collins talks to me about body swaps, the fear of God and his recent dual role as both …read more

Anna Torv Talks About the Return of Fringe

It’s been a long time coming, but finally, Fringe is back! To make up for the long absence Fox will be airing the final six episodes without a break.
On a recent conference call with journalists, Fringe’s Olivia, Anna Torv was asked if she thought the extended break might drive viewers away. Her response was a bit more positive than mine.
Says Torv, “I really, really hope not. I think we’re kind of lucky in that if you are following it, there are things to follow, but if you are dropping in I still think that you’re going to …read more

The Devil You Say: It’s Ray Wise from Reaper

The Devil You Say: It’s Ray Wise from Reaper

I spent part of my Friday the 13th, talking with Ray Wise who plays the smooth talking, utterly charming devil on Reaper. After a long hiatus, the series is back for its second season and it looks like the poor devil is up to his eyeballs in parenting problems. Disobedient children, slacker sons, it’s tough to raise kids right now a days and it’s even tougher to raise them wrong!
You have had an amazing career, Twin Peaks, 24, Charmed, Dallas, Charlie’s Angels and you did A-Team!

Ray: Yeah, I got punched out by Mr. T on that show. And …read more

Into the Woods with Bridget Regan

Into the Woods with Bridget Regan

Bridget Regan’s TV credits include The Black Donnellys, New Amsterdam and Law & Order Criminal Intent. All great experiences, but none of them properly prepared her for the role of Kahlan Amnell in ABC’s syndicated series Legend of the Seeker which requires her to ride horseback through the magical Midlands.
Bridget plays Kahlan, a “Confessor” who wields her magic as well as she wields a sword.  Together with the wizard Zed (Bruce Spence) and the Richard Cypher, the Seeker (Craig Horner) she sets out to stop the invasion of the evil Darken Rahl.
The series is filmed in a studio in New …read more

Jonathan Frakes Takes on Kirk vs Sparrow

If you’ve read any of my past interviews you know that there are three random questions that I try to ask everyone I meet. This week it was Jonathan Frakes’ turn – two out three since we were under a time crunch.
What’s something you’ve done that there’s no way you’re ever doing that again?
Jonathan: (Laughs) That’s a great question. Hmm, get into a semi, hitchhiking, in the dead of winter, at night. I ended up crossing over two highways in upstate New York, in the 70s this was, so I think I’ve learned – I don’t hitchhike anymore and …read more

Jonathan Frakes Talks Leverage

lev·er·age n. : Positional advantage; power to act effectively
Tonight, Star Trek: The Next Generation Star Jonathan Frakes, exerts his own kind of leverage when he takes over the helm of the TNT series. The episode is called “The Juror No 6 Job” and features a few Frakes friends that any good scifi fan should recognize – Brent Spiner and Armin Shimerman.
Leverage and Star Trek stars — that’s a combo I couldn’t pass up, so I got Jonathan on the last call of the day just as he was headed out to do the DVD commentary for the Leverage …read more
