Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander, two writers/producers who have been with the show since its creation, have been fired according to the Los Angeles Times.
The Times’ report says NBC execs are unhappy with the show’s creative direction. This latest development will do nothing to silence that chorus. Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander, two writers/producers who have been with the show since its creation, have been fired according to the Los Angeles Times.

Heroes’ first season saw it become a phenomenon for the network but things went south during the second season. The show’s ratings still haven’t returned to first season levels while critics and viewers alike have called this season too hard to follow.

It’s a stunning reversal of fortune for Loeb, who has been nothing short of a rockstar in the comic book culture. He’s one of the most respected writers in the comic business and his Superman for All Seasons was the basis for the TV show Smallville.
