Heroes Creator Promises Changes

And not just of the firing writers kind. Variety reports that Heroes creator/showrunner Tim Kring says there will be a renewed focus on storytelling. Some NBC execs apparently felt Kring delegated too much of the writing responsibilities to fired producers Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander. With that not being an option anymore, Kring will have to be more hands on.

Heroes Producers Get Fired

There’s been a great deal of debate about whether third-season show Heroes is in trouble. This latest development will do nothing to silence that chorus. Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander, two writers/producers who have been with the show since its creation, have been fired according to the Los Angeles Times.
The Times’ report says NBC execs are unhappy with the show’s creative direction. Heroes’ first season saw it become a phenomenon for the network but things went south during the second season.
