TCM Lists the 15 Most Influential Film Soundtracks

In honor of tonight’s Grammy Awards, Turner Classic Movies has released a list of what they consider to be the 15 Most Influential Film Soundtracks. Four out of the fifteen films are scifi flicks including soundtracks by groundbreaking composers Bernard Herrmann and John Williams.

Star Wars Concert Tour Begins This October

John Williams has been the master of soundtracks since his early days working for Irwin Allen penning the theme for Lost in Space and Time Tunnel and later, the sound tracks for Poseidon Adventure and Towering Inferno.  Then there was the theme to Jaws and the music of Close Encounters of the Third Kind, but Williams really outdid himself with the combined scores of the Star Wars movies and this fall, you’ll get a chance to experience it live.
