Syfy has announced their fall premiere dates including the start of the much-anticipated series Stargate Universe. The latest Stargate spin-off will launch on October 2 at 9:00 with a 2-hour event, then will continue to air Fridays at 9:00 beginning October 9.
Robert Carlyle (Trainspotting, The Full Monty), Lou Diamond Phillips (Numb3rs), Ming-Na (ER, Vanished), Alaina Huffman (Smallville), and David Blue (Moonlight) star in this series about a group of soldiers, scientists and civilians, who are forced through a Stargate when their hidden base comes under attack. Anyone familiar with the Stargate franchise knows that its an “all in the family” kind of production company. It’s very common to see, not only actors, but characters repeated across the various incarnations and it’s about to happen again. Stargate Atlantis readies for production on its fifth season.  My how time flies.  It seems like only yesterday when Colonel Samantha Carter took over command of Atlantis and now she’s on her way out.  With Amanda Tapping demoted to “special guest star” status, Robert Picardo will be moving in as top dog in the ancient city.
