That’s obviously going to be a hard task as the acting of Michael Rosenbaum and the sheer hotness of Kristin Kreuk aren’t around to cloak Krypton-sized plot holes anymore.
I agree with a lot of what McMillan has to say, particularly about the cavalcade of guest stars. There’s a reason the comic book writers didn’t do things like having the entire Justice League show up in Smallville, Kansas or make Green Arrow a recurring character in Superboy’s adventures.

Well-known pop culture site io9’s Graeme McMillan suggests how Smallville could get back on track in its eighth season.

The show is supposed to be about young Clark Kent and his journey to becoming a hero.

McMillan’s also right that the Legion of Superheroes makes much more sense as the comic has always shown them as a huge part of the Super-mythos. Unfortunately, Smallville probably will not do any of the things McMillan suggested. It’s a shame, as Smallville has a devoted and dedicated legion (no pun intended) of fans that want to see this show recapture its former glory.
