SFUniverse readers, your mission should you choose to accept it is to outwit the 20Q artificial intelligence in regards to Star Trek lore. Players pick a person, place or thing (in this case from the Star Trek universe) and the advanced AI has 20 questions to guess it in.

To tune people into this new Star Trek version of the game we’re offering a prize pack including handheld versions of Harry Potter and Simpsons video games as well as Star Trek DVD’s.

Each time someone plays the game, the machine gets smarter. Since its 1988 inception 20Q’s AI has become an expert in everything from Harry Potter to the Old Testament.

To play the game, go to the 20Q Star Trek site here. To enter the contest, just comment on our boards and tell us if you or the machine won, and also what term you tried to make it guess. The contest deadline is Oct. 13.

(SFUniverse will not be held responsible if the 20Q AI’s knowledge of science fiction allows it to become sentient and thus ascend to be our robot overlord.)
