]]> Activision’s Spider-Man game offerings have been a little lackluster of late, but this one looks very, very promising. In Spider-Man:Web of Shadows you can choose between using the world famous Black Evil Symbiote Suit or the regular ol’ Red and Blue Spidey tights.

This game is designed by the same team responsible for the popular Tony Hawk series and they’ve reportedly perfected a system allowing you to switch costumes in mid-combo. It’s similar to the method you use to string together “tricks” in that series.

The two costumes come with different sets of powers and are apparently leveled up separately. You will even encounter different Marvel characters and different storylines depending on which costume you use and how you choose to fight evil.

Battlestar Galactica’s sexy Caprica Six Tricia Helfer has flexed her voiceover chops on animated series The Spectacular Spider-Man as The Black Cat. Apparently she’s impressed the right people at Marvel Comics because gaming blog Kotaku has confirmed she’ll play Black Cat in the upcoming video game Spider-Man:Web of Shadows.

Helfer’s been a busy Cylon lately as she also had a run on USA spy dramedy Burn Notice. Now, can we get her as Black Cat in a live-action Spidey film? I’m just saying. With that kind of casting it almost would not need a plot to get me to go see it.
