More than 5,000 fans will get together in Bonn, Germany to celebrate their favorite series over the weekend and you can join them virtually. Apparently, all you have to do is sign up for BD-Live over at CBS, then insert your Blu-Ray discs into your computer and you’ll be granted access to all sorts of FEDCON goodies including exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, talent interviews with Star Trek stars such as Nichelle Nichols and more.

How cool is that? I don’t have a Blu-Ray player (yet!) so if you do and you’ve got the new Star Trek: The Original Series DVD, try this out and then come and tell us about it. The FEDCON feed is only available from now until May 3, so don’t miss it!

There’s a little Star Trek film coming out this May that you might have heard a little something about. This is seven discs, 29 episodes and really, it’s a large part of the reason we have Sci Fi Channels (whatever they call themselves these days) and sci-fi blogs.

Season One, as I’m betting you know, has some of the classics. Space Seed ( the first appearance of Khan) Mudd’s Women (I’ll stop for you to say Harcore Fenton Mudd in your most annoying voice possible) and the Corbomite Maneuver. You know you want it, fans.
