Superman Could Fly Again in 2009

Superman star Brandon Routh told Sci Fi Wire that he thinks he’ll be donning the cape again in 2009 for the sequel Superman: Man of Steel. He noted that was “his timeline and not anyone else’s” in that interview.
Routh said he expects director Bryan Singer to get a script together late this year. He also joked about one of the biggest critiques of Superman Returns, that there wasn’t enough action. Routh said he hopes to beat up more villains in the sequel.
He’s not staying idle in between crime fighting stints, though. Routh will appear in an episode of NBC’s horror anthology Fear Itself, in an episode called Community.
