The Ladies of Battlestar Guest on CBS Comedies
November 7, 2009 by Cynthia
Those serious ladies of Battlestar Galactica are playing it for laughs in November when both Tricia Helfer and Katee Sackoff guest star on two CBS sitcoms.
First up it’s Tricia Helfer on the November 16th episode of Two and a Half Men.
In “The Moustache Attachment,” Chelsea (Jennifer Taylor) invites her beautiful college roommate, Gail (Tricia Helfer) to stay at the house while she gets over a bad breakup and Charlie (Charlie Sheen) dreams of threesomes. (Photo: Greg Gayne/WB ©2009 Warner Bros. Television. All Rights Reserved.)
Next, on November 23, Katee Sackoff plays herself on The Big Bang Theory’s “The Vengeance Formulation.”
Coming up on Warehouse 13
July 13, 2009 by Cynthia
Look at this duo! There’s something about this pairing that makes me think we’re in for a wild ride. That’s Saul Rubinek, the curator of Warehouse 13 and with him is the charming Allison Scagliotti. She’ll be joining the cast in a few weeks.
Before that, we’ve got Battlestar Galactica’s Tricia Helfer guesting in tomorrow night’s episode about a band of bank robbers who don’t need guns to subdue a crowd.
For you Joe Flanigan fans, the former Stargate Atlantis star will appear in the August 4 episode “Elements” along with one of my other favorite actors, James Naughton.

Flanigan, Helfer Guest on Warehouse 13
May 28, 2009 by Cynthia
It’s going to be an all-star scifi summer on SCI FI Channel when some of your favorite stars pop up on the new dramedy adventure Warehouse 13.
Top of the list, Stargate Atlantis’ Joe Flanigan, Tricia Helfer from Battlestar Galactica, and one of my personal faves, James Naughton who starred in the Planet of the Apes TV series, but is more commonly known for his role on Gossip Girl.
Warehouse 13 is the story of two Secret Service agents who are assigned to guard a massive, top-secret storage facility in windswept South Dakota which houses every strange artifact, mysterious relic, fantastical object …read more
Battlestar Galactica at the Paley Festival Photo Call
April 22, 2009 by Cynthia
Going through the photos from the Paley Festival Battlestar Galactica / Caprica red carpet, I can only think that the heat has gotten to these poor people (it’s been over 100 degrees here) — why else would these lovely ladies be in such a cranky mood? (For a detailed report on the panel, visit The Futon Critic.)
It’s Alessandra Torressani and Paula Malcomson.
Tricia Helfer seems a bit happier to be here and then there’s the funky Seth Green
Check Out Tricia Helfer on Chuck
March 30, 2009 by brian
NBC takes care of its actors and I salute their efforts to keep Tricia Helfer on my television as much as possible. Fresh off her run as Caprica Six (and numerous other Sixes) on Battlestar Galactica and a guest stint on Burn Notice, tonight she will guest star on Chuck.
Helfer will play a secret agent who comes between Chuck and his handler Sarah. Seems the government bigwigs don’t think Sarah can do a good job because she’s fallen in love with Chuck. Helfer plays Alex Forrest, an agent that doesn’t let her emotions get in the way and – oh, …read more
New Vampires and Old Favorites: Casting News
March 26, 2009 by Cynthia
More of your favorite scifi stars have found new gigs this week:
(Number two could be considered a spoiler for Sarah Connor so. . . )
Battlestar Galactica’s Tricia Helfer has joined the cast of the Canadian series The Dealership where she’ll play a beautiful sales manager in the world of luxury cars. (Does that sound horribly boring to anyone else?)
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles‘ Jesse, aka Stephanie Jacobsen is moving into Melrose Place. She’ll play a med student who pays her tuition with a job as a high-class call girl.
Ian Somerhalder is joining The CW’s pilot Vampire Diaries. According to Daily …read more
A Little Q & A With Bruce Campbell
January 22, 2009 by brian
The versatile Bruce Campbell has done it all, from acclaimed actor to bestselling author. Now he’s a sort of retired superspy on the hit USA show Burn Notice, which returns Jan. 22 at 10 p.m E.T.
If you haven’t seen the show yet, you should check it out. Battlestar Galactica’s Tricia Helfer is on Burn Notice as well, and we’ll be talking to her about that soon.
SFUniverse got access to a press event in which Campbell talks about the show, the cast and acting in general. Take in the wisdom of the Campbell, or we may have to use our …read more

Galactica’s Helfer Had Hair Raising Ordeal
August 4, 2008 by brian
Oh, the sacrifices actresses have to make for their art. Battlestar Galactica siren Tricia Helfer told TV Squad that during the show’s second season her hair began falling out due to dying it white-blonde.
She said they eventually had to use a wig for Cylon Six’s trademark blonde tresses. Thankfully she doesn’t have that problem now as a guest star on another cool show, USA’s spy comedy Burn Notice.
Helfer’s also doing some voiceover work, playing the crimefighting bombshell Black Cat in the hit Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon. Hey, I wouldn’t mind seeing her slip into that costume in a live-action Spider-Man …read more
